Be the first to attend one of our brand-new workshop offerings this winter! We’re excited to be expanding our workshop catalogue with two new full-day learning opportunities that will help you plan meaningful, person-centred improvements to care. Here’s a look at what’s in store:
This interactive workshop will explore various approaches to mapping health care processes and experiences: process mapping, value stream mapping and patient journey mapping. Mapping is a powerful tool for planning person-centred improvement, as it provides providers, patients, families, and decision-makers with a clear visual representation of the current state of a health care process. Participants will practice facilitating these different types of mapping sessions, coming away ready to plan a successful mapping session that is appropriate for the context of their own work.

Patient Engagement: Creating Meaningful Roles for Patients in Health Care Improvement
This workshop teaches principles and advanced skills for conducting authentic patient and family engagement, which is key to making person-centred changes in health care. It’s important to identify clear roles for patient partners in your initiatives, and to prepare everyone on your team for successful patient engagement. Drawing on real case studies from throughout BC, this interactive workshop will teach participants these skills and more.
This workshop is designed for both health care partners leading engagement initiatives and patient partners who would like to contribute to the understanding of the health care partners in attendance.
